A Global Alliance
At IFCM we esteem each of our ministers as an invaluable member of an global alliance commissioned to spead the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that to accomplish God's great commission, the Body of Christ must flow together in unity, "fitly joined together by that which every member supplies- according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, increasing the Body unto the edifying of itself in love." (Ephesians 4:16.) We also believe that for any spiritual covering to be relevant and effective it must be based on relationship not just structure. In reading the New Testament Epistles to the church, you can almost feel the closeness the early apostles must have had with the people. By not only admonishing them but being transparent with them as well, they brought correction and validation to the lives of the new believers in the local fellowships. It was their desire to see the Body of Christ fully functional with each member operating in his/her gifts for the purpose of maturity and edification. It was precisely this love, this covenant-relationship that enabled them to bring correction and order when the occasion warranted. This is our pattern. After all, Jesus made disciples by first making Himself the servantof those He called His friends.
We
Believe in Accountability
Apostolic authority is not just territorial or denominational. We
believe that oversight demands accountability, accountability demands
relationship and relationship demands 'true fellowship.' Walking in this
unity causes the blood of Jesus to flow and further cleanse us from all
sin. (1John 1:7) 'True fellowship' will not exist between us as the family
of God until we embrace this fact and apply it to our personal as well
as our ministry lives.
To better facilitate the needs of each individual we have established what we call 'Regional Oversight.' These are a select team of leaders in any given regional area who are available for counseling, edification and general oversight.
IFCM, while not part of any denomination, maintains close relationship with other Apostles and Prophets of 'like precious faith.' In striving for excellence in ministry, the governing body of IFCM consists of a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board of Apostles, Prophets and Regional Leaders.
